IP rating and What does it mean?


IP rating, which stands for Ingress Protection rating, is a standard used to define the level of protection provided by an electrical enclosure or a device against the intrusion of solid particles and liquids. It is an internationally recognized system that classifies the degree of protection an object has against various environmental factors, such as dust, water, and other foreign objects. IP ratings are typically expressed as "IP" followed by two digits, such as IP51 or IP68.
